Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Cellular function.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) is a method of gentle manual techniques to assist the body in recirculating fluids. The health of the lymphatic system is critical for proper cell function, draining stagnant fluids, detoxification, regeneration of tissues, filtering of toxins and foreign matter, and maintenance of the immune system.

Utilizing LDT, practitioners achieve profound, precise results in a shorter period of time when compared to other lymph drainage techniques because LDT addresses the specific rhythm, direction, depth, and quality of the lymphatic flow.

Key Benefits of LDT

  • Reduce swelling and lymphedema

  • Stimulate immune system for preventative and therapeutic effects

  • Reduce voluntary and involuntary muscle spasms

  • Detoxify the body

  • Reduce Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia symptoms

  • Relaxation to aid insomnia, depression, stress, memory loss and loss of vitality

  • Relieve chronic inflammation (as in acne, eczema and allergies)

  • Relieve chronic pain

  • Alleviate adiposis and cellulite tissue

Dr. Chikly is an educator and author who conducts workshops and lectures around the world. His book, Silent Waves: Theory and Practice of Lymph Drainage Techniques- With Applications for Lymphedema, Chronic Pain and Inflammation, is the first comprehensive text in North America on the lymphatic system and lymphedema.
