“I think of you so often and am so very grateful for what you did for my sister. You helped fill her with hope and gave us an extra 3 years with her. You are such an amazing lady - I really am in awe.”

“I would never want to be without Janette’s calm, patient, structured, and effective way of coaching Pilates. Having a whole body approach that includes breath work and visualization, she teaches you how to incorporate your practice into everyday tasks. Janette is very clear with her instructions, always knowing what exercise or variation will make a muscle or nerve feel better and protect you from injury. She asks at every session about my status that day and modifies her plan to best address my issues. I have never worked with anyone who could help as much as Janette can to manage chronic pain while providing a path to durable relief.”

“Janette was recommended to me by the physical therapist who did my home care after a knee replacement surgery, following eight other major orthopedic surgeries and diagnoses of degenerative bone disease. Doctors told me I would never be able to walk on uneven surfaces and would always need a cane or other support.
My first meeting with Janette lifted my spirits and brought me an increment of improvement. When Janette asked me what I wanted, I told her that I wanted to be able to hike 11 miles in one day and be able to hike another 5 or 6 the next day. Without skipping a beat she said, “Well, then let’s get to work.” And we did. And I did do that hike.
It’s the Prairie Creek Redwood National Park trail, through an old growth redwood forest up over a ridge, down through fern canyons, and out to the Pacific Ocean. It meant more to me than any other accomplishment in my life. Janette’s work was challenging for my brain as well as my body. Every session made me stronger and taught me how to feel into my body, find the specific muscles that were essential to functional movement (this was the brain challenging part), and wake them up and bring them into my consciousness so I could continue to progress on my own. Janette is so worth putting your trust in. She is tremendously dedicated to the well being and improvement of her clients.
But she is fun too. If I failed at something she found another way to get there that allowed me to succeed. When in pain and disabled an increment of improvement is empowering. To go from “I can’t.” to “I CAN” means being able to participate in life. For me, it also meant being able to get off of the strong opioids I was using for pain.
I’ve spent years focused on my gratitude for being able to walk without a cane, to walk on uneven ground like lawns and shorelines and to hike. She took what required a miracle and broke it down into steps that I could learn. She took what required a miracle and made it into an achievable success.”

“Janette is an astoundingly effective therapist and wellness professional. She created a coherent program for me that produced rapid and steady pain reduction for a joint problem that was decades old. Equally important, the program has rebuilt my body to support continuous development of my overall strength and this produces benefits for me every day. With great knowledge and good nature, Janette has taught me how to understand the important elements of sound movement and ways of constantly connecting my mind to my body. It is not an exaggeration to say that working with Janette has been the most important thing I have ever done for my body.”

“I am excited about the ‘new’ moves you gave me. So much of my activities have been locked in a bad pattern. “exercise to pain, exercise beyond pain, you will have pain, pain is bad” It’s all been so confusing. Now I am different I will be doing my best! I will be stronger. And maybe I will have pain- but I will not be confused and afraid. Thank you for listening to all my negative thoughts. Now they are out and gone!”
